  • Why do you feel the kitchen needs to be organized?
  • What bothers you most about the kitchen?
  • What do you like the most about your kitchen?
  • Do others in the house have a wish list for the kitchen? (A certain place to prepare lunches, coffee center, place to do homework)
  • Is there anything about the way it looks that bothers you? (Change the curtains, update appliances or countertops, dark brown cabinets which make room look very dark)
  • Do you currently have enough countertop space to prepare meals and store appliances?
  • Do you have enough refrigerator and freezer space?
  • Do you have adequate cabinet or shelf space?
  • Can you adjust your cabinet shelves?
  • Aside from cooking, what else do you do in this room? (eat, pay bills, use the computer, watch tv, talk on the telephone, entertain friends)
  • What would you like to be able to do in this area that you can not do now?
  • Do you have enough light?
  • What general kitchen decor style do you want or are you happy with it as is?
  • Is there anything you like about a friends’ kitchen you have seen or one in a magazine?
  • Do you like the color scheme of your kitchen or would you like to change it?
  • Will young children be using the kitchen?
  • Does anyone using the kitchen have special needs?
  • Who is the primary cook?
  • Is the primary cook right handed ot left handed?
