“Every Minute, A Suicide Is Attempted In The United States”

I’ve written about everyminute.org before here at Mental Health Notes (Team Up With everyminute.org And Make Your Voice Heard!), but it wasn’t until today – after reading the latest newsletter and visiting the site again – that I realized they have a PSA:
Every minute, a suicide is attempted in the United States. That’s…reason to take action, people. More than enough reason.
As I perused everyminute.org again today, I noticed they now have a resources and services locator section, as well as an official group at Daily Strength. Check ‘em out!
And, if you haven’t done so yet, add your signature to everyminute.org’s online declaration to shed light on mental illness, treatments, and hope.

Great resource Alicia. Thanks for posting that. You know that I’ve mentioned my situation before with my brother committing suicide, so this is a really important issue for me. Whenever I see you have a post with “suicide” in the title, I make a point of coming by.
Of course, I do come by anyway!

@ Marijke – No problem, you know me. Always tryin’ to spread the word about something it seems, haha. You should sign your name on the declaration!
Alicia – Thank you very much for the post!
