@Tim Here (US) I can deduct my home office but I think if only if that’s all I use it for. I also have my son’s art center in here. I hear the resale is decent though on these rooms.

Does that door come with a lock?

If it came with a bathroom…I could just lock myself into that clean space…and let my clutter bug family members fend for themselves.

Great post, I’d never heard of them. I was originally looking at http://www.henleyoffices.com/ which seem smaller and a little less grand.

An important benefit of the garden office, at least here in the UK is that if you run a home business, a garden office is tax deductible, whereas extending your home isn’t. They also seem to have fair resale value.

I want one too. I have a dedicated office space, but still it’s loud, and kids come by all the time. Of course, if I had one, then my son would try to claim it for his own little self. I’ve seen these sort of set-ups before, but this is my favorite style-wise.

I would love one of those. I work at home and for some reason my family just doesn’t get that I’m really working. I would move my office out of the family room and into that. Then when I could go to work in my own office.

That wouldn’t be terribly expensive to have built from scratch, and if you don’t permanently wire electric (or if it has self contained electric) then most cities wouldn’t require a building permit.

I’m in love with the big windows and door setup on that thing– gorgeous.

Okay, I seriously need me one of these! I have never heard of this. My office is in the living room, which is where the rest of the family always is. It can sometimes be hard to concentrate.
