Swatch Portraits by The Purl Bee
Aren’t these adorable?
If you’re like me, you’ve probably got dozens (if not hundreds) of small swatches of fabric left over from different projects. I’ve also got antique fabrics that I bought and now can’t bring myself to cut into. Isn’t this a clever idea for using them up?
Visit The Purl Bee for easy directions to make yourself a handful of these, plus lots of other information on sewing and fabric arts.

Cyndi, this is a great idea…a fascinating way to use up leftover quilting fabric and to decorate a wall. I’m going to mention this on Quilting and Patchwork and link to your post.
Omigosh, Cyndi, the swatch portraits are wonderful! One of those: Why didn’t I think of that! Head smackers! LOL!
And, now, a little note about the meme-game that is circulating through the blogosphere…
Recently, I was ‘tagged’ in a round robin blog meme game, so, I have tagged you…. if you check http://www.hankeringforyarn.com/a-game-of-tag
you will see how the game is played.
Tap, tap, you’re IT!

I saw something similar to this not too long ago and I’ve decided to try it myself! I love this look!
Those are gorgeous! I love the idea of being able to display precious pieces of fabric like that – I’m bad at hoarding the really yummy stuff
