Fabulous View

I’m adding a category for The View. I can’t help it. I care what happens on The View and when I watch it at the gym I find myself laughing out loud or clapping.
Today was like an emotional roller coaster:
I’m annoyed with Elisabeth: being totally defensive and irrational about The War, Bush, Iraq, and all Republican vs. Democratic candidates. On all things political I totally disagree with Elisabeth. I think she will defend any and all unethical or immoral behavior because she’s so partisan it’s not even funny. And somehow I’m always emotionally effected. It’s not as if her opinion matters more than anyone else’s, but I’m emotionally effected about how irrational she’s being.
I’m happy for Joy: Rosie leaving The View was great for Joy. When Rosie and Joy had the same opinions it left Joy out of a lot of the discussions. So, Rosie leaving was great for Joy getting more air time and being more controversial.
I’m proud of Barbara: Thank you Barbara for attempting to steer the discussion AWAY from the war. But did you hear when Elisabeth told her BOSS: “You only want us to express our opinion when it’s the one you want to hear.” Ballsy Elisabeth. Gotta respect that. But, gotta wonder how long Barbara will put up with it.
I’m super proud of Elisabeth: You go girl! Flashing your 6-months pregnant Belly! Way to be publicly pregnant and show that we’ve come a long way as women!
I’m amused by Sherry: The comedian Sherry Shepherd is very reminiscent of Star Jones. She’s a big black woman who has a faith in God and doesn’t mind talking about it. Sherry is very funny, doesn’t care about the war, is overweight (this IS a positive if we want The View to represent different kinds of women) and is ethnic. Maybe we should keep her.
Out of all the potential hosts I’ve seen so far I think she’s the most keepable.
I can’t stand Elizabeth. She is a joke to all thinking women – inarticulate, short sighted and self righteous. And have you noticed how she always interupts everyone? You can always sign the petition to have her fired at fireelisabethhasselbeck.com.
Just a comment on attempts to have people removed or whatever. The show is The View… It is suppose to be representative of various women. I don’t agree with everything that everyone says. BUT that’s the point. Someone might agree with that wich I disagree. So what? Who cares? Elizabeth is who she is. Agree with her or not Barbara is who she is like her or not. Joy expresses strong opinions.. .they are just that, opinions. It shouldn’t matter if “YOU” agree with her, someone else might. If they all agreed or were of the opinion of just a sect of people, it wouldn’t be what the show was intended to be.. diverse opinions about subjects that the world faces today.
I totally agree Tish. I think Elisabeth serves a purpose. She is not the ONLY woman on the planet who thinks the way she does. I think we lose sight of the fact that she’s representative of millions of Americans in her thinking. Therefore, having her insight on The View is totally appropriate.
