Face Paint Recall

The FDA is advising consumers to stop using water-based face paint manufactured by Shanghai Color Art Stationery Company Limited in China.

The product label says the paint is distributed by Oriental Trading Co. Their subsidiary, Fun Express Inc., has recalled the face paints.

The face paint is being recalled due to “significant microbial contamination” and a cluster of adverse events in children exposed to various colors of the face paint.
