Fall Style: Dorm Room Decor

When it comes to decorating a dorm room, you aren’t limited to the sometimes very boring offerings in a plastic bag found in big chain stores. When fall arrives, you (or your college kid) can have a dorm room style that reflects a special personality. There are several ways to go about it, but the sooner planning starts, the more likely you’ll find what you need before class begins.
Shop online :
You can find some original offerings online at PB teen. They sell everything from furniture and lighting to sheets.

This heavy-duty item, Vintage Camo Quilt and Shams from PB teen, seems to be marketed toward guys, but I’m guessing there are plenty of young women who would like it too.

For the wall, I like the perkiness of this Bubble Dot Mirror Set from PB teen.
Read about dorms :
Aside from shopping online, you get even more inspiration for dorm decorating with the newly published Dorm Decor: Remake Your Space with More Than 35 Projects by Theresa Gonzalez and Nicole Smith.
Copy someone else’s decorating ideas:
HGTV’s Rate My Space includes a section on dorm rooms with ratings and comments from readers, not to mention plenty of photos.
Have you started thinking about dorm room decor?
