Famous Olympic Adoptees: Caitlin “Kitty” Carruthers

Caitlin was born in 1962 and adopted by Charley and  Maureen Carruthers.

She participated in the 1980 Olympics and the 1984 Olympics. She and her skating partner, Peter (also adopted), won a silver medal  in the 1984 Olympics.

They are four time U.S. National Champions.

Caitlin is married to Brett Conrad and they have two adoptive sons, Brett and Kyle and a daughter, Kayla.

In 1999 she and Peter were inducted into the US Figure Skating Hall of Fame.
