Father’s Day (well, in the US, America and a few other countries I think) is just around the corner so if you’re still thinking of what to give that special man in your life, here’s another idea for you. This time from Rhonna Farrer.
Here’s what Rhonna have to say:
How many fathers get love notes, cards, & pictures from their kids & then have no place to put them?
Of course we want to save them, but how?For Father’s Day this year, my kids & I got together to make this tin for their dad’s treasures that they give him all the time.
This project is very fast & easy for kids of all ages.
Have fun with each other as you create this versatile treasure box for the fathers in your life.
1. With the sticky gaffer tape have your kids wrap the tin with it. There are all sorts of colors & have fun!
2. Print off some digital book plates (available here on May 15th) & attach to a patterned tag, as shown here.
3. Print off some digital images, found in the store here, on clear sticker paper from Avery to create custom stickers that the kids can stick on the tin, tab sheets or tags.
4. Create tags & tab sheets with ribbon, rub ons, & stickers.
5. Let the kids have fun with it…get creative & add rub ons directly on the tin, on the tags & in the tab sheets.
6. Fill with cards, pictures, etc. to show him how to use it!
And of course, add your own Father’s Day cards & greetings to it.Enjoy the pRocess!
