favorite books – Color on Paper and Fabric

October 2, 2008 by Chloe Findlay-Harder
Filed under Home & Living

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a little slice of my studio bookshelf (okay, bookshelves) with you all.

Another one of my favorite books is Color on Paper & Fabric by Ruth Isset.  It’s a fantastic resource for both beginner and more advanced fiber artists.  She creates easy-to-follow step by step directions for all sorts of gorgeous fiber art and surface design techniques.

There are chapters on choosing your materials and fabrics, basic techniques and more advanced fiber art, like creating your own burnout velvet.

Thanks for sharing! That looks great, I have added it to my Amazon wish list for Santa.

That is a fabulous book. All her books are fabulous. She is so full of ideas. I saw her a couple of years ago at a show and her work is awesome!
