Favorite Herbs~ Fresh Oregano

I love having a few of my favorite herbs and vegetables right outside my door in my kitchen garden. I already told you how much I love my cilantro, but another favorite kitchen garden herb is oregano.

I planted one little plant of oregano about 10 years ago, and it’s grown into a nice clump to supply me with fresh oregano all summer.

Oregano is one of the most versatile herbs I have in my garden. I make homemade tomato or pasta sauce at least once a week for pizza, spaghetti, or lasagna. During the summer I just walk outside and grab a handful of oregano to throw in my sauce. Oregano’s also great in vegetable soup and summer dips. Yum!
