Many companies have been laying off workers this year and news about the job market has been glum. But here’s one area that needs a ton of new workers: The FBI. The organization is hiring experts in many different fields, including, “agents, language specialists, computer experts, intelligence analysts and finance.”
This is one of the largest “hiring blitzes” the agency has ever had. (And since it’s been around for a century – that’s saying a lot!) They are hiring over “2,100 professional staff vacancies and 850 special agents.” Many of these positions are in Washington D.C. but some are in field offices.
Want a way to serve your country? A job that’s interesting and important? This could be the place for you.

For all you mystery fans out there, I’d like to recommend Mark Bouton’s novels. He’s a former FBI agent and I love the way he weaves non-stop action into intricate plots. I think everyone is fascinated by the FBI and Mark has a unique insight into the criminal mind. Hope you enjoy his books as much as I do! He opens a whole new world to the reader.
Thanks for the recommendation! I enjoy suspenseful crime books and will give Mark’s book a try!
