Featured Mom blog: Ordering Disorder

I love to cook. I always have. I don’t make big gourmet meals, and unlike my father, I won’t make roses out of tomatoes and tulips out of radishes but I do make tasty meals. Before kids, I was happy to make lengthy recipes, easily spending an hour at my counter prepping a dish for that night’s supper. Since having kids, I just don’t have the luxury of that much time. Really, I don’t have the energy either. If I have an hour of spare time, I’d rather lie on the couch with the television on or a good book in my hand, you know?
Still, cooking is not something I can escape. I still have a family to feed and I like to try to do it well. Enter Ordering Disorder. Written by Chris, it will provide you with a plethora of tasty recipes that fit two important bits of criteria – healthy food and quick/easy to make.
Know why you can guarantee that they’re quick and easy? Chris has seven children. You know darn well that she doesn’t have time to make a five-course Martha Stewart meal, especially now that some of her kids are involved in organized sports. Meals need to be fast, but they also need to be kid-approved or what’s the point?
I have made several of her meals and they’ve all tasted great, taken little time and effort, used healthy ingredients, and were a hit with our whole family. Check it out!

I should check this book out. I am trying to cook and eat healthier for me and my family of 4, but I do not like cooking so recipes have to be easy!
