February is Black History Month, Library Lovers Month, and American Heart Month. It’s also filled with lots of fun and interesting holidays. Below are just a few of the holidays we’ll be talking about in February:
February 1 – St. Brigid’s Day in Ireland
February 2 – Groundhog Day
February 3 – Super Bowl Sunday (not typically a holiday, but you try telling most football fans that)
February 5 – Mardi Gras
February 6 – Ash Wednesday
February 11 – National Inventor’s Day
February 12 – Lincoln’s Birthday
February 14 – Valentine’s Day
February 15 – Flag Day in Canada
February 18 – President’s Day in the US
February 20 – National Cherry Pie Day
February 22 – Washington’s Birthday
February 24 – Flag Day in Mexico
February 28 – Kalevala Day in Finland
February 29 – Leap Year Day
