It’s Earth Day, and well — Happy Earth Day. I hope you do something green today and each day.
Now, what could be more green than using reclaimed materials for building or renovating your home?

The difference between what Michael and I spent totally gutting a 1950s bathroom and what the contractor quoted is thousands. I don’t have that house anymore, but I do miss that cute retro bathroom. I wonder if the new owners would let me visit it . . .

I know that my next house will be an old one. I’m just too drawn to them, so I’m hoping I can use reclaimed items in the future.
try going to a Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore…. It is a place where people can donate building materials ans such and then the ReStore cleans it up and sells it to the community.
Its a great way to keep materials out of dumps!
