First Day of Spring

Here in Australia it is officially the first day of spring. I know for many regular readers this will feel strange, as you will be enjoying the approaching winter, well, autumn or fall as you know it, at least. Personally spring is my favourite time of year. There’s the change in temperature, especially during the day, the gorgeous spring blossoms both wild and in gardens everywhere, and that sense of newness in the air.
What is your favourite season and why? Write about this season. Create a visual journal entry about this season and list or create images for all the things you love. Write a love letter to this season or a poem.
I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please leave any comments in the section below.

Hi,
Here in the Netherlands autumn is beginning. Leaves are dropping down on parked cars.
The last days I’ve been reading your blog. It is great to be inspirered by you! Thanks!
Hi Kriebels & Krabbels,
The changing of the seasons is always lovely. Thanks for leaving a comment from Netherlands. So glad to inspire you.
I live in central Mexico where the temperature varies between 50 and 80 degrees F 360 days of the year. Nice.
My favorite season is right now. We’re just about to the end of the rainy season, so everything is lush and tropical.
I should be out in the garden with my camera rather than sitting in front of the computer!
Bye … and thanks for the prompt Heather.
Guess you really like your brother’s fiance now… what a great business to be in.
Hi Eileen,
Where you live sounds so lovely. I agree; get out there and take some photos. Would love to see them, if you get a chance to share. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Hi Judy,
Oh yes, I am so glad to have finally met her, too. Mum’s been passing on the journals, but I’ve told her send more, more. Lol. Thanks for the comment.
It’s so interesting to catch up on the seasons around the globe.
a few years ago, I put together a scrapbook journal about autumn in New Hampshire, where I live. I went back through many years of colored photos and made scrapbook pages in a 5 x 7-inch journal. Then I wrote an autumn poem on several pages surrounded by colored leaves, children, pumpkins, and jack-o-lanterns. My husband scanned some of the pages which I used for a writers workshop to show how you can make multiple copies of such a journal.
Hi Mary Emma,
And what a lovely workshop it would’ve been. Your journal pages sound delish. Thanks for letting me know.
