First Thing First, I Need To Exercise Today 1/13/08

Ugh, I am feeling a bit like a sloth! I have not been exercising like I should and I can tell in my very short tempered, anxious mind. I need to get on the elliptical and go to town, maybe lift afterwards. It is amazing that just 15 years ago I was in tip top shape playing Division I ball in college, running 6-8 miles a day on top of practice and weight training. Now I am a mom who tries to walk for at least 45 minutes a day with the elliptical 3 times a week, and I am darn lucky if I get on the weight bench!
I do have some good news, at least for me, I have lost 4 pounds since the New Year. Nothing huge, but it is encouraging. I would like to lose about 15 total, so like 10-12 more. Ugh, so hard as we get older, isn’t it? I don’t want to be a model or wear what I wore when I was in college, but I would like to drop one size which on 5′9″ is about 10-12 pounds. Just to feel better and make sure my numbers keep on like they are.
Now bloodsugars… This AM I was 90, then before lunch I was 98 and right now 2 hour after eating I am 112, so good so far!
Breakfast… Not much really, 2 small pretzel rods dipped in peanut butter. Tasty, but I wasn’t really hungry.
Lunch… 1/2 ham, turkey and provolone cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and peppers on it. A big ol’ diet coke and a handful of M&M’s. I told you I was truthful. Hey don’t judge- they were gooood!!!
Dinner as planned… turkey meatloaf, green beans, baked potato ( I will not eat this), salad and jello (sugar free) with fruit in it.
So there you have it, small progress. This journal thing is helping me stay on track. How are you doing, hanging in there?















I know exactly how you feel with the exercising. – I haven’t been doing it like I should either! We got this game for the Wii at Christmas, Dance Dance Revolution, and its really cool because on it there’s a workout mode that counts how many calories you burn! So that’s been my “exercise” lately.
I just haven’t done it in several days.
