It’s Ocean Week at Camp Weary Parent and if you can’t get to the Ocean..rainbow-sea.jpg.read about it!

As you can tell by now I love lists and I love board books. I love board books because they are basically indestructible with toddlers, babies, and with special needs children.

  1. Rainbow Sea (Children’s Sparkle Books) Beautifully illustrated and written this one is an absolute masterpiece.
  2. Touchy Feely: Ocean Buddies (Touchy Feely) For all those sensory kids out there!
  3. Ship Shapes  Never too early to learn shapes, right?
  4. There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed the Sea (Classic Books With Holes) Great ryhme for early language learners!
  5. Joshua By The Sea By one of the BEST African American children’s authors EVER.

Nice selection, Marcie. And a great idea…if you can’t get to the ocean, read about it, especialy the touchy, feely books for young readers and read-to-me tots.
