Fizzix – A New Twist on Go-gurt

Fizzix

I remember a few years ago when Go-gurt first came on the market – and I thought eww, yogurt in a tube. But, we tried them and they have been a lunch box staple every since. We were given an opportunity to try a new version of Go-gurt called Fizzix. Think Go-gurt goes X-treme – at least that’s what the packaging wants you to think.

Fizzix is yogurt in a tube that has a bit of fizz to it. Why the fizz – all I can figure is the fun factor. The nutritional value is the same and the yogurt has the same general consistency. The only difference is that the Fizzix has a bit of a tang and fizzy feeling on the toungue that the regular Go-gurt does not have.

So, what did the kids think? Two of them LOVED it, one of them said so-so, and one said she prefers the original Go-gurt. I froze them and had the kids try them again. All of them preferred the Fizzix frozen.

I haven’t seen these in the grocery store yet, but I expect that they will be just as popular as the regular Go-gurt.

I like everything you wrote about the product, but I just can’t get past the awful packaging…

I am not a huge fan of yogurt to begin with, but go-gurt I do like because of the different flavors. But tonight I saw the fizzix so I bought it and tried it, and I thought it was GREAT! I really think its the tang from the bubbles, oh and it was the strawberry lemonade jolt flavor!

Why the fizz? Because Yoplait was smart enough to listen to my dad, the inventor. My dad has been working on his “sparkling yogurt” for over 20 years. Yoplait decided to give it a chance and I’m so glad to hear that people out there are willing to try it. I have been raised on my dad’s yogurt and I am so proud of him. It should be in LOTS of stores now. Enjoy and spread the word!

I bought Fizzix last week. I have 3 children who reallllly wanted them, and I reluctantly agreed. All three have tried the yogurts and two of them threw up for 12 hours after eating the yogurts, on two diffent ocassions. I’m just wondering if this is an isolated case?

That really sucks that your kids got sick! I don’t think that there was a connection (unless the store left yogurt on the shelves that was past its “sell by” date) because we have eaten boxes and boxes and never gotten sick.

Lezley – we have not had any problems with them either. They aren’t my kids favorite yogurt, but they do like them from time to time. No one has gotten sick.

  1. [...] I’ll have to try the Cherry & Strawberry Lemonade fizzix and compare. I saw on another blog where they froze the yogurt and everyone preferred them frozen so I’m going to try that idea [...]
