  1. Carl says:

When, I wonder, did individuals become as small children and transfer so many of their natural expectations of Nature and life generally into the offices of Mother Nation or Fatherland rather than their own native resourcefulness?

We blame governments for our plight because we pass on much of our personal responsibility to them. They are there mainly to collect taxes, keep us in order and use us as a resource to fight their own territorial squabbles and protect their own commercial interests – not those of the individual.

Get real – the individual is inconsequential fodder; trivial, useful on a very temporary but dispensable basis. Never forget your true place in the man-made scheme of things.

What you can change, change; what you can’t, then tough; you’re gonna have to chew it. It’s called personal pragmatism! That goes for your income; your health; your security; your happiness – Your Life! Enjoy Life if you can – Endure it if you can’t. Isn’t Stoicism the only practical route out?
