Following in your professional footsteps

As another Monday prepares to rear its ugly head, I began wondering what my son will be doing in another twenty to thirty years when he enters the workforce full time. While I like my job and enjoy what I do, I don’t know if I would try and foster a life-long aspiration in him to follow in his old man’s footsteps… and so a poll!

Would you suggest to your child that they follow your professional path? If you feel very passionate about it one way or the other, please leave a comment as I’d love to hear what you have to say.

Nope, it’s not my business to have my child become what I am. It’s my business to help my child find out what *they* will/can be/want to become.
