Food Friday : Meat Lover’s Pizza

There’s a local pizza place that opened near us a few months ago called Dough Boys. It’s pretty much the pizza place we go to these days. When they say Large, they really mean it. This Meat Lover’s Pizza is HUGE. And oohhh soo good too. Pizza Hut, Domino’s, and Papa John’s are good also but their Large should be called Medium in my opinion.

I’m not much of a pizza eater actually. Unlike my son who would probably love it if we have pizza for dinner everyday. Pizza is a once a week thing in our house. It’s part of our twice a week dining-out rule in the family. I make my own pizza sometimes too but ordering out from Dough Boys has become a family’s favorite thing to do, usually on Friday’s.

This Meat Lover’s Pizza with pepperoni, ham, sausage and bacon only costs $22. Not too shabby. And the slices are so big that I can only eat 1 slice while the little girl can eat half which makes the boys happy because it means they’ll have more
.
Sometimes we order the all-veggies topping which includes green peppers, mushrooms, red onions and black olives. Those are delicious too.

Thanks Dexie, I am now officially wanting a pizza. Only problem is I dont’ think we have a Dough Boys out here, we do have a Minsky’s but there pizza is the smaller version. Man that looks really good. Now Minsky’s does have some MEAN Calzones.

Funny you should ask about pizza; my favorite is from Sammys’ Woodfired Pizza and my favorite from there is the Wild Mushroom, brie pizza on artisan crust drizzled with truffle oil. I brought home 2 1/2 pieces from lunch today and will eat it slowly and with enjoyment tomorrow. awesome stuff.
i agree! the large sizes from some pizza stores should be called medium! lol. that looks really yummy! we love eating pizza here at home … usually we do that during weekends.

love pizza once in a while… but not everyday! hahaha!
so far, i love freshly baked pizza from an Italian restaurant near my workplace. they boast to have the best pizza in Auckland and I do think they are. 2nd would be Hell’s Pizza.
