Food Network is rolling out a whole bunch of new shows over the next year, it’ll be interesting to see how well they do!

Sandra’s Money Saving Meals Taking advantage of the current economic crunch, Food Network is rolling out a new show hosted by Semi-Homemade guru Sandra Lee. Premieres May 10 at 12:00 p.m.
The Next Food Network Star: Season 5 The fifth season of the network’s premiere food fight begins June 7, 2009. FN is casting for contestants now!
Chefs vs. City will pit Chris Cosentino and Aaron Sanchez against local foodies in a winner-take-all race through different cities on each weekly episode. Premieres July 2009
Viva Daisy! Season Two Daisy Martinez shares tips and tricks for creating easy, delicious meals inspired by her love of Latin food. Premieres July 2009
What Would Brian Boitano Make? Olympic gold medalist ice skater Brian Boitano is an accomplished cook that will create meals for a new event each episode. Premieres August 2009
Extreme Cuisine with Jeff Corwin explores the culture of food — for people! The renowned wildlife expert changes gears with a look at regional cuisines and culinary adventures. Premieres September 2009
The Next Iron Chef: Season Two Ten top chefs will compete in Kitchen Stadium to join the ranks of Mario Batali, Cat Cora, Bobby Flay, Masaharu Morimoto and Michael Symon. Hosted by Alton Brown, premieres October 2009.
Worst Cooks in America showcases two teams of six hopeless home cooks, each team headed by chefs Anne Burrell and Beau MacMillan, who will be transformed into shining stars within ten days.
“The two who make it to the end will face the final challenge: prepare a three-course, restaurant-quality meal for a panel of food critics who think they are tasting dishes prepared by chefs Anne and Beau.” Premieres January 2010

Money Saving Meals sounds like an interesting show, but I am so NOT a fan of Sandra Lee! I wish they had a better host for it. Love Daisy though, and can’t wait for Next Food Network Star:-)
