It's a tip I got from my mother. Throwing sugar into vegetable dishes is a secret I learned from my grandma. I don't do it, but I know it works. I have to say - One of the ways I know my husband loves me is that he will defend me when outsiders (even others he loves) criticize. Good for Jerry standing up for Jessica.
