Enchanted (Widescreen Edition)
Today is Friday and that means it’s Freaky Friday. If you need to know more about this journal writing challenge please read the First Freaky Friday entry.
Last night I watched the DVD Enchanted with my daughter. She had one of those terrible days and so we took out a new release to help cheer her up. It worked in cheering my daughter and also brought a smile to my face. It was a silly little bit of fluff, but that’s exactly what she needed.
In case you haven’t seen the film and don’t intend to, the basic idea is that the evil step-mother doesn’t want to lose her crown once her step-son marries, so bumps poor little princess-to-be into a place “where there are no happy endings.” That place just happens to be New York City, USA in the real world.
For this journal writing challenge take on the persona of one of the characters in the film, or any Disney fairytale you enjoy, and take them into the real world, but your world. If you happen to live in New York City, take the character, as yourself, to the places you go. Let this character view your reality. Let them observe and comment on things as they see them. Try not to hold back on anything they would like to delve into.
Have fun with this journal writing challenge. The idea is to see your life from a different perspective. I hope the character helps you see your life in a new way. Please leave any comments in the section below.
