Freaky Friday #117

Today is Friday and that means it’s Freaky Friday. If you need to know more about this journal writing challenge please read the First Freaky Friday entry.

Since I’ve been rereading and throwing out old journals recently this journal writing challenge fits with something I did just today while writing in my journal. I had come across and entry about the birth of my first son, although he was born almost 18 years ago, the entry was written about eight years ago. One thing I really noticed about the entry was how much my perspective had changed from that time eight years ago.

For this journal writing challenge locate an entry from an old journal. Try for a significant event that you aren’t likely to forget, anyway. Reread the entry, making notes on anything important at the same time. Now revisit the event from your older and hopefully wiser perspective today. This is a great time to reflect on your motives, choices and other issues that arise as you write.
