Today is Friday and that means it’s Freaky Friday. If you need to know more about this journal writing challenge please read the First Freaky Friday entry.
This afternoon hubby, the little guy & I took a drive down to Fremantle. It was quieter than expected for this time of year, but we really wanted to take a look at the markets. I always enjoy seeing the regular stalls and whatever else is new. We walked by the Town Hall and for some reason I noticed the statue of John Curtin for the first time. I sat not far from the statue and watched people going by. Not many of them even acknowledged John as he stood overlooking the people. I couldn’t help thinking what he would make of Fremantle in 2008.
Take some time to write a journal entry as if you were a well known public figure from the past. You might like to take note of some local statue to help you with this journal writing challenge. You may also need to research them a little, but that’s one thing the internet can help you do well. Use their known outlook from the time they were alive and write about the situation of your city or town in general, but also let them speak about your own life. How would they view the things you do? Try not to allow this to become a way of looking down at your own life. Allow this voice from the past to focus on the positive aspects and changes your life makes obvious.
I hope you enjoy this journal writing challenge. Please leave any comments in the section below.
