I’ve just finished reading a book called My Brother Jack by George Johnston. The novel is a classic Australian story set from the end of World War One and closes as World War Two draws to an end. The brother Jack in the title is the first born, yet the tale is narrated by the younger brother.
For today’s challenge write as if you are your older brother, or sister. If you are the eldest, then write as if you had an older sibling. Do similar if you are an only child. Step into their shoes and write about your life. How did your arrival have an impact on them? What advice would they offer you if you’d only let them?
