Thank goodness, it feels like spring has finally arrived! It’s sunny & warm outside – it’s even warm enough that I can have my studio window open. Yes, I’m easily amused by pleasant weather!
I’ve found several sources for some great free embroidery patterns, both machine & hand embroidery!
The Flying Needle offers a ton of different free & for sale patterns here.
AnnTheGran has an amazing variety of patterns for machine embroidery, registering with their site is required before you can download anything.
Secrets of Embroidery has a rotating collection of “freebies” with access to more if you subscribe to their site.
Ayeone is a site from Australia – they have some lovely free Christmas designs.
Happy Embroidering

I too wish there was more of the non machine variety… does anyone know of someone who could look at a cross stitch pattern and could see how to do it the “traditional” way? Like say this could be done as a satin stitch, etc? I am a complete novice, as well as being completely unable to be creative!
Thanks!
