Free Glucometer Advice

I have been getting many, many comments as of late asking for me to send readers free glucometers. I just wanted to clarify that I wrote about the meters being available for free through different programs and sites but that I do not personally have any glucometers to send anyone.
I would suggest that if you need assistance in buying a meter that after you receive your script from your doctor, as that is required to get any free meter, you then look into one of the many websites and they can assist you in sending you a meter for no cost.

The other option is that most internists have many, and I mean many, free samples of meter in their offices. You need to ask about them as they will not hand them out to every single patient, but it is always an option. Unfortunately, as we all know the glucometer is the inexpensive part… strips, lancets and all that follows.
