History has proven that growing up in a slum produces &quot;slummy&quot; citizens, while growing up in an effluent neighborhood produces more &quot;effluent&quot; citizens.  Getting environmentally friendly concepts into schools is bound to produce adults who are more inclined to be green.</description>
