Like ice cream? Me, too. So, free ice cream from noon to five at Friendly’s on June 6th? Yeah, that makes me happy. According to the company website, Friendly’s will give a free single scoop cone or dish of ice cream to people who visit the restaurant during the offer hours.

Don’t have a Friendly’s near you? We made our own strawberry ices the other day using some of the three million or so berries my garden decided to produce this year and they were delicious. The recipe is from the June issue of Mother Earth News and has four simple ingredients: hot water, sugar lemon juice and strawberries. Unfortunately, the recipe isn’t included on the Mother Earth News site, but I did find some similar ones. This recipe from That’s My Home sounds like it would taste pretty much the same.

Great article, Katelyn! Thank you for referencing Mother Earth News. We appreciate it, and we’d love it if you could link to our site, http://www.motherearthnews.com, in your article. The strawberry recipe that you mentioned will be up on our site soon. Thank you again for the shout-out!
