Free puppy scam

It seems somewhat ironic that this arrived in my spam folder this morning, after posting a warning about these kinds of puppy scams just a few days ago:

“Hi,

My mother in law who I was really close to passed away unexpectedly. As sad as it was she left behind a litter of adorable bulldog puppies and parents.

These dogs are well trained, playful with kids and other home pets and they come with complete shots and worming. Puppies are very playful and they do the funniest things and you just can’t get enough of their playful antics.

Please contact me only if you are interested in providing a loving and caring home for these pets.

Have a nice day,”

Guess what?  When you respond the email, you’ll probably get cute puppy photos, and a big, long sob story about how the dogs & puppies are going to be put down if you can’t take them…

And then the demands for money will start.

They need money to transport the dogs…

The dogs all need new crates…

Gas is sooooo expensive to drive them to you…

Oops!  The dogs “mysteriously” were flown to another city – and hey, you need to pay $3000 to fly them back to you!

Don’t get hooked into this scam!  Go to your local animal shelter, contact a reputable dog rescue organization or find a responsible breeder instead.  You’ll end up with the dog you want instead of an empty wallet.
