Free Yoga on iTunes/Blogs

I L-O-V-E yoga. In my old town I had this Vietnamese Catholic teacher who would light incense and give us a face massage with a lavender cloth at the end of every class. It was the best touching I got all week. The kindest thing I did for myself.
My options shrunk considerably with my move to a very small town.
I’ve recently discovered FREE yoga classes from Yogis all around the world on iTunes and on their own blogs. (Now that I have a computer fast enough to keep up with audio and video files.)
I found this really cool chick named Elsie Escobar. On her Yoga Kula Blog she has photos of what the poses should look like and then on iTunes you listen to the class in it’s entirety.
I love Elsie because of her dialogue. She’s just so open. She has recently been making a transition from single LA Yoga teacher to wife/mother/Pittsburg Podcaster, so there aren’t a lot of new classes. But, she already has 60-something classes online so I just search the iTunes archives for something to match my mood.
I wrote an article about a year ago on the 10 Reasons to Try Yoga. I can’t say enough about the mental health benefits of quieting the the incessant chatter in our minds. I’ve also found it instrumental in alleviating back pain.
If anyone else has great a favorite online yoga teacher please tip me off. I’m especially interested in some free videos that will run on a Mac.
Very brief basic sun salutation instructions.

Tracee!!! Thank you so much for the support

Cool thanks! I’ve been out of practice since the kids have been home for the summer.
Hi Tracee–Take a peek at my yoga teaching blog at jaiyoga.wordpress.com. It’s pretty low-key–no videos, etc–but I have a few easy relaxation exercises, tips for beginners, and a number of asana sequences posted. You and your readers might find it useful. Enjoy!

Hillary
Traci, If you ever come to Seattle the most popular teacher in the area is Gary Olson. He is in Kirkland, WA and regularly teaches sold out classes. http://www.theashramyoga.com. -Namaste. John
Holy Cow those people are bendy. Around here no one would do yoga sweaty and topless!
The Ashram is my new yoga goal . . .
