Freedom Writers Foundation

September 4, 2007 by Heather Goldsmith

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve mentioned the Freedom Writers in this blog. Since November 2005 I’ve been following their story, about the book, Freedom Writers; the movie; and their Freedom Writers Foundation.

In case you don’t know, Erin Gruwell is the teacher who inspired her class of teens to use personal journal writing to begin the process of freedom in their lives. Just check out any of the above links for more information on these Freedom Writers.

  1. [...] Yesterday’s entry was tagged with a challenge by John W. McKenna. He tagged me because this blog was on Priscilla Palmer’s list of blogs I mentioned in the entry Personal Development Resource. I had to look at his entry, and the Change This Manifesto he plans to write. Reading the comments helped, as I wasn’t really sure what the question was. But, I think I will take up his challenge, and I suggest you do, too. It will make a great journal writing prompt. [...]
