Fried Wild Mushrooms

We went mushroom hunting yesterday, and found a bread sack full of mushrooms. So tonight we had fried mushrooms for supper.

It’s a special treat since we can only have them for about a week out of the year.

I cleaned the mushrooms by soaking them in water in the refrigerator over night. Then I cleaned each individual mushroom by slicing them open, and rinsing them under warm running water.

Then I roll them in flour and fried them in a skillet with canola oil. Hey, I didn’t say they were healthy for you!

Like I said on Mother Earth’s Garden, don’t pick and eat wild mushrooms unless you know what you’re picking.
