Frozen berry goodness

IMG 6824We just got a new freezer (our apartment didn’t come with one), and I’m delighting in all the new food prep options that I have now. Yesterday I bought some mixed frozen berries, and this morning I made myself a delicious smootie with them.

In addition to the berries, I put in a banana, some soy+rice milk, a little cinnamon, and a splash of vanilla extract. A simple treat to start off the morning. I’ll definitely be making more of these!

I make a fruit smoothie like this every day. In addition to your suggestions, I might also use a half cup of unflavored yogurt, some orange juice, a slice of fresh pineapple, mango, or anything else in season. MM.

Wow, looks delish! I’m going to go make one right now. :) I will have to use some pineapple instead of the banana, though, because we’re out. Sounds tasty to me!
