Fruits – low in sugar and low in calories

US scientists have developed a new technology to produce fruits which are low in sugar. These fruits have just half the calories as the naturally produced ones. These have been produced using genetic modification, but according to the researchers they can also be produced using the standard methods. The study appears in the Chemistry & Industry magazine.
