Looking for a new way to meet singles in your area?
If you are fan of board games and/or playing board games with strangers, then this might be the dating venue for you. GameNightOut.com is now hosting Game Nights in New York City and Chicago, with events to follow in New Jersy, Connecticut, Long Island, Upstate New York and Los Angeles.

Here’s an example: on 5/12/09, a group of “Single Professionals,” aged 25-35, will meet at a Midtown Manhattan location that is to be announced at a later date, probably after you are registered and paid up.
More May events are scheduled for Catholic, Jewish, and “Mature” singles, but it looks like they stick with the age range of 25-35.

This sounds like a lot of fun and when you think about it that’s what couples do with friends. I’ve always loved game nights, even without friends we do this on the weekends.
These can be a lot of fun! There’s something similar in Boston hosted by Eureka (specialized board-game store in Brookline). I’ve gone on one or two dates there with guys that I met on People2People.com, and even though the dates didn’t end up leading to anything, the games were a blast! I’d totally recommend this for anyone looking for a causal place to meet up with that guy you’ve been flirting with on-line!
Idate2009, I’ll look for that and do a write up. It sounds like a lot of fun.
Thanks to both of you for commenting.
I wish we had something like that where I live! That sounds like a blast!
