Generic Version of Zyrtec Allergey Medicine Approved by the FDA

Perrigo said Friday it received final approval from the Food and Drug Administration to sell a generic version of McNeil Consumer Healthcare’s Zyrtec allergy medicine over the counter.

The FDA gave Perrigo approval to market Zyrtec, also known as cetirizine hydrochloride, at 5 and 10 milligram dosages under store-brand labels. The drug is indicated for allergy and hive relief. Read more >>
