Get Out Your Compass
Tonight I’ll be teaching a wine seminar on California appellations—a liquid crash course. We’ll be covering six AVA’s, tasting our way across the state. Santa Barbara, Paso Robles, Livermore, Contra Costa, Redwood Valley, and of course, Rockpile… which Rosenblum helped put on the map. Then we’ll taste a few more wines blind, to see if folks can put what they learned into action.
The class is this evening at Rosenblum Cellars in Alameda, from 6:30 to 8:30. $40 per person, $5 off for club members. If you’re interested, there are a couple of slots left, unless someone else has already taken them. Call Samantha at 510-995-4100 as soon as you can.

Will you have a follow-up course on the Foothill appellations? These aren’t as famous as their coastal brothers, but often overlooked and forgoten. But, especially if you’re a Zinfandel lover, the wines from these appelations are great!
How fun, i wish i could be there!
Dave,
It’s still on my list of places to visit. Maybe next go-round. p.s. Glad to see you back!
Sara,
There will be more classes, don’t worry… Check out the schedule on Rosenblum’s website, and let me know if there are any you want to attend.
