Getting a Handle on My Eating Habits

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my eating issues, and I’ve decided that it is really time to start doing something about it. So today was the third day in a row that I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Three days, three meals each. It feels weird. I feel strangely full, and my head hurts (which is probably a coincidence, but stil odd).

Figuring out portions is challenging, expecially since I’m eating so frequently that I’m not starving when I sit down, so I keep taking too much and having to put it back, push it off on someone else, or throw it out. But I’m eating. And I’m proud of myself, because it’s harder than one might think! But weird as it is, it also feels good. It feels normal despite the absolute strangeness of it. Let’s see how long I can keep it going…

Good for you! Eating three meals (not feasts, of course, but well-balanced portions) is a great way to keep your body, mind, and soul healthy!

Keep going! After about 21 days, most routines become habits.

You go, girl! Kudos to you for getting a jump start on what could have been a New Years Resolution (as in, hastily said, easily forgotten). It’s better this way, and I think you’ve started on a great foot – mindful, thoughtful eating – that’s something we should all practice, I think.

Thanks for the encouragement, girls! One and a half meals down today (I had a Clif Bar around 7 when I got up and then Cheerios around 9 before I left the house), 2 to go. :]
