Getting a Trick instead of a Treat on Halloween

Generally, Halloween in a great time for kids (and for adults who still enjoy dressing up!). They get to dress up in whatever floats their boat that year, then they get to go door-to-door or to organized trick-or-treat community events to get candy.

And then you get some jerk dropping $200 worth of METH into some seven-year-old’s Halloween bag.

Luckily the parents did their job and inspected the loot first, thought it was suspicious, and took it to the police. Can you imagine if that poor kid had thought it was candy? It could have been a fatal mistake since meth looks like rock candy.

According to the boy, a teen passed him and asked if he wanted some candy. When he said yes, the teen dropped it in.

It is such a sad world we live in today… Guess that’s why the mall is always such a madhouse on Halloween – people would rather go there and get candy for their kids than trust the neighborhoods and have something like this happen. Although I guess it could happen anywhere.
Makes us realize that as parents we have to be diligent at all times.
