Getting the Dates Right

April 28, 2007 by Heather Goldsmith

I don’t know if it’s ever happened to you, but I’ve done this several times in my journal. I mark the date at the top of my entry, but for some reason I get the date incorrect or muddled. This may go unnoticed for quite some time, though, if I’m not really paying attention. At some point I will realise I’ve made an error and spend time going back to discover where I made the mistake.

This is one reason I now always paste a calendar into the front page of any new journal I begin. Since I’ve started doing this I haven’t gotten the dates incorrect. Sometimes I don’t even notice until I’m rereading the journal! That is really annoying.

Have you ever made this mistake? If so, how did you find a workable solution? Please share in the comments section below.
