Getting to Know the Lifestyle Channel

Last week I was comatose on my couch attempting to recover from some nasty thing reeking havoc in my body and praying to every Deity that may exist that my children didn’t get infected with whatever I brought into the house.  Due to my lack of ability to stand or even sit erect, I was negligent in my tour guide duties for the Lifestyle Channel.

There are so many of us here that it sometimes amazes me, but along with the old and new there are some great writers and a lot of interesting blogs that may peak you interest.

Elizabeth at Career and Kids writes about the stress, love and humor of balancing the life of work and family.  Her most recent Sick Kid entry hit a note for me.  I am even a SAHM (I am never home btw)….and I could even relate.  Elizabeth shares a lot of great anecdotes and advice.

I often reference Heather over at Chocolate Bytes.  I mean, come-on, it’s chocolate.  She is always sharing news, products and of course recipes.  From the normal to the bizarre, like her entry on Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Arieanna at Cooking Gadgets always has some interesting products to share.  If you are looking for something a little different to get that certain someone during the holidays there are a lot of great ideas, like Saint or Sinner Wine Stoppers or to spice up your holiday party how about some Candy Cane Edible Shot Glasses.  Hmmm, some nice cold Vodka would be mighty tasty in one of those.

Gayla has some great fun over at Dating Dames.  She muses about being a single female and goes beyond just being an “instruction manual”.  This is a great place, obviously, for single women, but it is also a fun read for those of us who remember when and men…if you need to get a leg-up on what women are thinking it wouldn’t hurt to take a look.  I remember the headaches that came with  Dating and Gift Buying.  Oh, and relating again to the sickness and colds this time of year, A Little Relationship Humor.  Women will laugh, but I don’t think the men will get it.

Declutter It! should become my personal bible.  Take a walk around my house and…YIKES!  Heather has a lot of tips, like her most recent tip of the day, Getting Rid of Those Extra Photos, and if you need some gift ideas for the organizer or the clutter-bug in your life 15 Christmas Ideas for the Organizing Junkies could be helpful.

Fame or Famine is all about the performing arts.  Gray blogs about dance, theater, personalities and so much more.  You can find it all from the Definition of a Good Performance to the melodramatic and ho-hum Dancing with the Stars Finale.
