I am fortunate to work in a small- to mid-sized office and we all pitch in together, usually enabling us to get the boss something fairly nice that none of us could do on our own. He is a gadget guy so the only challenge is, what’s a cool gadget he doesn’t already have?

If they are music people, a “refill” card for iTunes, or Zune Marketplace, etc. (make sure you know what they have first of course) is always an excellent gift.

I disagree with the Frame idea though. That is a very picky thing (especially for a photographer), and tastes vary so greatly. What you think is a great frame, it can easily be viewed as awful by somebody else. Throw a print he already has in there, and it can look like you just threw something together without thinking.
