When traveling for pleasure or business, take along the Philips VoIP 151 phone.
This travel phone is compatible with Skype.
You can plug its cable into a USB port and enjoy free voice calls with other Skype users or make inexpensive calls to landline and mobile phones through your internet connection. Its cable rolls into the handset and a travel pouch is included to make carrying easy. The phone is compatible for both PC and Mac.
We are giving away one Philips VoIP 151 phone right here at the Travel Product Guide. It will make a great gift for just about anyone.
So how do you win? That part is easy.
Just leave a comment here on the blog about your favorite way to use Skype. Do you use it for voice calls while on vacation, the chat capabilities with friends or through video calls for business, etc.? If you don’t use Skype (Why not!?), tell us how you stay in touch with friends, family and business associates while on the road.
You will be automatically entered into the giveaway drawing with your comment.
The contest runs through tonight, Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11:59pm PT. A random winner will be selected from all the commenters to receive the phone. Please only enter once and leave your email address in the appropriate spot so that we can contact you.
Comment to enter!
Thanks for participating!
Check back tomorrow for the winner of this giveaway, and to see what great gift Mary Jo has for Thursday. Remember, we’ll be giving away a travel gift each day right up until Christmas.

i either use my cell phone or i don’t call anyone
I’ve never used skype – i keep in touch by cell phone and email!
I have never used skype, but I definately think it is time for me to upgrade. Get into the new millenium! I keep in touch with people the good, old fashioned way….by using the telephone! I also use email for those who have computers.
I’ve yet to use Skype, but I’ve really been wanting to, since my mom told me about it a few months back. Right now I keep in touch via email, IM, or myspace most often. Thanks!
I use Skype to talk to my son in Australia. I would love to have this phone so that I can use it more. Thanks for the contest.
I have never used Skype but when i am on the road I either text message from my phone, Call or use Yahoo messenger.
I’ve heard of skype, but I always make sure everything’s cool before I buy and try. I use a cellphone when I’m on the road.
I don’t use Skype yet. I keep in touch while on the road with email and cell phone calls.
I use Skype to talk with friends all over the world [England, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Ireland & all over the US] I’ve meet on YouTube. It’s one of the best ways to keep in touch and its FREE if you know how to use it properly. Pair it with a webcam and you can have face to face calls which makes it even more personal.
OLD STYLE LINE LAND PHONE
Haven’t used Skype yet, as I don’t have a phone. Would use it to call all my family and friends who live 3,000 miles away.
no skpe for me either- just email
I have not used Skype yet. At home my phone service is VOIP from Viatalk. It works well. I expect to do some international travel on business assignments in 2008. Using the Phillips VOIP would be very handy for calling home back to the states.
Thanks
Too bad I missed the contest but I don’t use Skype much either because I got Onesuite prepaid services and find it cheaper and better than Skype. But if I’ll get this phone for free then Skype it is!
Me and my girlfriend use it on our desktop. I moved to Iowa and she is in Florida. My grandma and her husband us it all the time when he goes on business trips. Works great. Thank You
My favorite mobile phone is still Nokia. I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
