Giveaway: Win a CatGenie Self Flushing Cat Box!

November 26, 2008 by Heather R.

catgenie

CatGenie is the only cat box on the market that actually cleans itself completely!

You hook it up to a water source and that’s it — sensors tell when it’s being used, and once the cat is done the basin fills with water and cleans the granules and the waste gets flushed out. It’s also green! See some images and videos of how it works here.

  • Cats use permanent Washable Granules that never need changing
  • For your cats, it feels like using a clean box of cat-comfy, cat litter
  • For you, CatGenie works like a washing-drying appliance
  • After a one-time, simple DIY hook up to water, you’re set
  • Push a button or preset to start. Sensors see when cat is using
  • Used and recommended by veterinarians, nationwide

The CatGenie system retails for $297 but one lucky Food Bowl reader will get one for free!

I use Pro Pet Fresh Steps because it’s flushable and it doesn’t set off my allergies when I change it. I really could use a cat genie, I have 4 cats.

  25. DL Stephens says:

We have two cats, one male-Mocha, and one female-Precious. I told my mom we should have named her Ms. Diva or Copy Cat since she acts like queen of the house and tries to copy the male cat with everything. We currently use Tidy Cat but anything that would help them with their litter would be so much better. If I can’t get a better littering system for them I might try to toilet train them, they would save us time and money but it could take up to six months. I still have to check on the feedback pros and cons on this.

It all depends on where I am when I’m buying it. I’ll buy whatever brand tickles my fancy, from clay to crystals to recycled newspaper. I even bought some corn litter one time, and I think it gave our house bugs! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
