Giving Thanks Is Good for You

Doctors and researchers have known for a while that being thankful is good for your health.
It lowers blood pressure and puts you at less risk for developing depression or phobias. Gratitude may even lower your risk of becoming an alcoholic. (As noted in Paging Dr. Gupta.)
With all the goodness that comes with being thankful, it shouldn’t be reserved for only one day. With that in mind, try to have at least one or two thankful thoughts a day in this coming year.
Start now. What are you thankful for?
