“Just a moment!” I call out the door. Charlie is already in the driveway.
Wait.
Once upon a time I would be rushing out there—-to hear those words—-to hear any words—-
“Mom! Go walk!” Charlie comes back in to find me.
Charlie has leanred, Charlie has changed: I can get used to it.
